Winding Down

With the arrival of cooler temperatures and farm tasks slowing down, this will be the last weekly Farm Journal Friday post of the season. But, don’t worry! I will still post to the Farm Journal as we have exciting things happening on the farm (and maybe as I have some tasty, made from scratch recipes to share?!) and will pick-up Farm Journal Friday weekly posts again in the spring as we get busy again.

The Final Harvest

Summer came and went on the farm this week. The weather went from nearly 90 degrees and sunny, to 25 degrees and snowing in a matter of hours. I have never seen such a drastic temperature swing in my life.

The cool breeze of fall edged its way onto the farm this week. While the days have been almost excruciatingly hot here this week, with no rain, and hardly a cloudy day in sight, the nights have been exactly the opposite.
